WARP / PRIVACY NOTICE
Privacy notice
Effective October 9, 2026.
Warp Technologies LLC operates the Warp website and Academy. Contact us at contact@initwarp.com with privacy questions or requests.
Information we process
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, verification status, and a provider account identifier. We use these to create and secure your Warp account. Google handles your Google password; Warp does not receive it. Our sign-in permissions cover basic identity information, not access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive files.
We store your profile name, any profile picture you choose to upload, course enrollments, lesson progress, assessment answers and results, badges, and promo-code redemption records. If you use a lab, we also store its session history, usage, and task-check results. Avoid putting personal information or production credentials into training exercises.
Our hosting and security systems process technical information needed to serve and protect the service, such as requests, timestamps, error events, and network information. If you email us, we process the information you include to respond to you.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide sign-in, save learning progress, assess exercises, award course completion, manage access, respond to support requests, and maintain security and reliability. We do not sell your personal information or use your Academy answers for advertising.
Service providers
We use Amazon Web Services for hosting, authentication infrastructure, and data storage, including infrastructure in the United States. Google provides Google sign-in. Our website loads fonts from Google, which causes your browser to connect to Google. These providers also process information under their own applicable policies. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect the service and its users.
Stripe processes Academy payments, billing addresses and tax calculations. We store purchase details, Stripe customer and transaction identifiers, subscription status, and lab credit records to provide access and handle billing support. Your full card number and security code are handled by Stripe; Warp does not store them. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy. Service engagements and their invoicing are handled separately under the relevant engagement arrangements.
Cookies and browser storage
Warp uses cookies for authenticated sessions and sign-in security. Browser storage remembers preferences such as theme and lesson layout. Blocking essential sign-in cookies may prevent account access. Signing out ends your Warp session; it does not sign you out of Google.
We measure page views and learning activity to understand service usage. A temporary identifier in session storage groups page views in one browser tab, renewing after 30 minutes of inactivity. We record the page path, time, and your account identifier when signed in; this measurement does not store query strings, IP addresses, referrers, or browser user-agent strings. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this measurement. Visit records are removed after 90 days as part of ongoing collection. Authorized administrators can review aggregate visits, learning progress, lab usage, and promo-code redemptions to operate and support the Academy.
Optional advertising measurement
With your permission, we load a Google Ads tag to measure how advertising leads to new accounts and paid Academy purchases. Google receives advertising identifiers, device and network information, and conversion details including a pseudonymous event identifier, currency and purchase value. We do not send your name, email, course answers or lab contents with these events. Enhanced conversions and advertising personalization are disabled. Google processes this information under its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising tags do not load until you choose Allow measurement. Declining does not affect training or account access. You can change your choice using Privacy choices on the website. We remember your choice for up to 180 days and honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Withdrawing permission stops future measurement and removes first-party Google Ads measurement cookies; it does not erase information already received by Google. Browser storage also prevents repeatedly reporting the same event. Staging and local previews do not send advertising events to Google.
Retention and choices
We retain account and learning records to provide your account and progress history. You may change your profile in account settings or email contact@initwarp.com to request access, correction, or deletion. We verify account ownership before acting on such requests. Some information may need to be retained for security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups until those backups expire.
Access to production data is restricted to authorized operators and service providers. We use encryption in transit and at rest in the hosted infrastructure; no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and identify its effective date. For a material change affecting existing account information, we will provide an appropriate notice through the service or available account contact details.
